About Me
Hi, my name is Charles Williams, and I want you to learn a little about me. I’m originally from Chicago, Illinois, but I’ve been living in Wisconsin for the past 12 years. This is my first year at Western Technical College, I am very interested in Sports Marketing, and I’ve been around different teams and companies the past few years seeing how they operate. I got here by putting in a lot of working and always trying to be up to whatever task I may need to complete.
In addition to attending school, I enjoy being outdoors and doing activities like biking and playing sports. When possible I take my dog Ivy for walks and hiking around the area. Working around the community is also a big passion of mine, whether that be helping at my local food pantry (coulee cap) or assisting with the parks service.
“Life is not a spectator sport. If you’re going to spend your whole life in the grandstand just watching what goes on, in my opinion you’re wasting your life.”
This quote has always stuck out to me ever since I first read it many years ago in Jackie Robinson’s autobiography. It has taught me to not just sit by and worry about me, but to go out in the world and make something happen.
